On September 15, 1821, Spain granted independence to Honduras, along with the rest of the Central American provinces. Today, it is still celebrated passionately! It is marked by 3 days of celebration and parades. Schools and colleges close and the children participate enthusiastically in music and dancing. Everyone comes out to watch the parades!
